Familiarize yourself with the company
Get to know the company where you could be working, we will provide you with the link to the company, so take a few minutes to go through their website. Familiarize yourself with what they do, their history, and relevant news. From here you will also be able to ask any questions about them through the interview, this can show recruiters your interest in the company and the position offered.
Check how to get there
Take your time to review the best way to get there, look through your options. Do they have parking? If not, what is the closest parking? Is public transportation the best option? What routes are available? What are the times for the metro or bus? How long is going to take to get there? These questions might help you plan the best way there. Consider leaving a little early – you never know if problems could arise for traffic & parking.
Practice and Prepare
Prepare yourself for any possible questions, take your time to practice. Ask a friend or a family member to help you. These are a few questions with which you can practice:
Could you please let us know more about yourself?
What do you know about the company?
Have you ever been in a difficult situation? How did you overcome it?
What do you like to do in your free time?
What are your professional weaknesses and strengths?
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
What is your greatest achievement?
Why do you want this position?
Dress code
Dress for the occasion, investigate the company culture and their dress code, ask for some advice from your recruiter if you aren´t sure. Another good option is to wear something conservative and professional. Make sure you feel comfortable with what you are wearing, and that you look polished. For colors try to pick neutral ones.
For men, choose a button-down shirt instead of a t-shirt. If your wear a suit, grey, navy blue or black are good options, wear socks and clean shoes. Try to avoid bright colors. Also keep in mind to shave and brush your hair. For women, we recommend avoiding short skirts or tight clothes. Simple makeup is better and perfume which does not overpower. When selecting a shoe, wear close-toed shoes and make sure they are clean. Avoid wearing too many accessories which could take the attention away from an overall professional look.
Finally, the interviewer has your resume, don´t forget to be yourself and be calm. Show your personality! Let them see more about yourself, they want to know you better.

These are few tips to keep in mind: speak clearly, speak with a positive attitude, remember to listen, and don’t forget to smile. Be confident, your body language speaks as well; the way you stand, sit and express matters. Do not discuss topics such as personal issues, politics, religion, benefits, or pay range. If they asked about compensation expectations, indicate you are looking for a fair offer.
-
At the end of the interview, thank the interviewer. If possible, send an email thanking them for their time. Be attentive to the recruiter – call to give feedback.
